About the artists and their works
How do you choose the works of art available for sale?
We select the artists and they choose the works they want to put on sale. Of course, we moderate the content and have the opportunity to remove works from sale if their authenticity is questioned.
Who can sell on Artchipiélago?
All of our artists are recognized in our town. We identify these artists so that we can provide you with a diverse and high-quality international selection. For more information on our selection criteria.
Are you an artist? Please feel free to apply through this page. We respond to all applications, thank you very much.
Is a certificate of authenticity issued with the work?
All works for sale in Artchipiélago are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. Furthermore, all editions (paintings, pictures, etc.) are dated and signed by the artist.
The job is no longer available, can I request a similar one?
Many of our artists accept orders, so please feel free to contact us if unfortunately the work you like is no longer available for sale.
Are all the works presented in Artchipiélago available for sale?
Not always because fortunately we have already made sales! If the job has been sold, this is indicated on the job page. In case you can’t find another job to your liking. Feel free to write or call us because we can offer you other works by our artists that are not on the site yet, and some of our artists accept orders too!
Services offered by Artchipiélago
Can I frame any work?
Absolutely. The artist has sometimes already provided a frame, that we can send you photos. If the work is not framed, you can tell us at the time of purchase that you want to frame the work. We will arrange the perfect setup for you.
Who pays the cost of framing the work?
When the work is indicated as framed, then the frame is an integral part of the work and its price is already integrated into the price of the work.
When the work is not framed, Artchipiélago offers additional framing and will be charged in addition to the price of the work. We always make sure to provide you with a framework in the budget that you have communicated to us.
Do you offer recommendations and advice?
Our role is to present an artist’s works to collectors.
We can offer you a personalized selection of jobs chosen especially for you. To receive this selection, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will contact you within 48 hours.
Do I have to pay for the artistic advice service?
It is not part of our mission at all to present collectors with new works of art.
I want to give a gift, but I don’t know which work to choose. What I can do?
It is a great idea to offer a work of art! However, it is not easy to choose a work for someone else, even if you know it well.
We have two options available to offer a unique gift: around your tastes and the physical space where you could put the work. So we offer a selection taking into account your budget.
Another option: give you a gift card in the amount of your choice. For each gift card, we offer 1 hour of one-on-one counseling to help you find a job you like.
Acquire a work on our site
How can I check the dimensions of the artwork?
The dimensions of the works are indicated on the works page. Any questions? Feel free to contact us, we are here for that and we can send you additional images to help you understand the dimensions of the job more concretely.
Does the image presented on the site represent the work exactly?
The image is an accurate description of the artwork, but it has no contractual value. We can send you additional images upon request.
If the artwork is not what you expect, we are very sorry. You have to go back to work later.
How to buy art in Artchipiélago?
To buy a work of art, you must click on the “Buy” button found on all Artchipiélago pages. You will be redirected to your cart. Once you have clicked ‘Proceed’, we will ask you to choose your payment method (card, Paypal, or call us for bank transfers). Once the payment has been processed, you will receive confirmation from our payment processor. We will be happy to confirm that your payment has been received.
What methods of payment do you accept?
All credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, etc.), payment through Paypal and bank transfer.
What happens when the payment has been processed?
Once the payment is made, the job is reserved for you! We call you quickly to confirm availability and delivery times (on average 7 days). Then we define together the ideal delivery day at the address you indicated during payment.
Can I cancel my order?
Of course. Before the artwork has been shipped, you can cancel your order by email. Once it has been shipped, the cancellation period begins 14 days after delivery. If the work has been returned, we will refund your money until the work is returned in good condition to the artist.

How are the artworks packed?
The works are packaged and follow a standardized packaging process. We confirm the packaging with the artist prior to shipment and ensure that the work is properly protected.
What is the deadline ?
After the payment has been processed, delivery takes an average of 7 days, allowing time for packaging and shipping. This may vary depending on the artist’s availability, the possible framing of a work, and the distance between the artist’s studio and his home. Whatever happens, we will keep you informed and it will be as fast as possible.
Who takes care of the delivery?
Depending on the destination country and the size of the job, we use carriers specialized in artistic products.
What countries do you ship to?
We deliver everywhere, or in any concern? Do not hesitate to contact us.
How much is the shipping?
Shipping costs are not included in the price, regardless of destination.
Can I send works of art to another country or to another person?
We will ship to the address you indicated in your order. In general, we establish the delivery date with the person who will receive the work and the name that you assigned. If it is a surprise or a gift, please let us know!
Our goal is, of course, that your experience at Artchipiélago provides you with full satisfaction. But we can’t foresee everything … here are some possible cases:
I changed my mind or I don’t like the artwork anymore … What can I do?
It’s a shame, but it happens! You have 14 days after delivery of the work to inform us. We will organize and cover the costs of the return. You will be reimbursed once the work has been returned to the artist. In the case of returns after cancellation, you are responsible for packaging the work.
The artwork has arrived damaged. What should I do?
Contact us as soon as you notice the damage. Take photos to show us the current status of the work and we will make a decision together.
Depending on the extent of the damage, we may repair the work, or you can return it for a refund. Artchipiélago covers the costs of repair and transport in case of damage during delivery.
Who pays for the return of the works?
